The Wiley Clapp II edition of the GP-100 enhances the revolver for concealment. The 3″ full lug barrel lessens velocity loss while maintaining a reasonable firearm length for carry. A beefy backstrap allows a dovetail notch to be cut for the rear sight, allowing the installation of a Novak Lo-Mount blackout rear sight with a Night Fission tritium front sight. The standard rubber and plastic grips is replaced by rubber with wood inserts. The cylinder capacity is increased to 7 rounds, and the cylinder, trigger guard and barrel have a subtle “carry melt” treatment that removes sharp edges and angles in these areas. This gives the user a firearm that is less likely to catch on clothing or the firearm’s holster during draw or reinsertion. The semi-polished stainless finish keeps corrosion away and recoil to a minimum with its mass. This is a fine carry piece for the followers of the .357 Magnum.
