True to its name, this is standard velocity ammo. It’s subsonic, to be more specific, with a 38 grain projectile that clears rifle muzzle at a rate of 1,080 feet per second. Subsonic ammo avoids creating a piercing crack on ignition, which makes training with it a touch easier on the ears. Subsonic ammo is also preferred for precision shooting, as its trajectory can’t become erratic as the result of transonic destabilization.

The lead round nose is the simplest bullet a 22 LR cartridge can fire. It’s economical and accurate, and equipped to kill small game quickly even if its talents don’t include terminal expansion. (All 550 rounds are packed loose together in one box.)
